Refund Policy

These terms and conditions constitute the refund policy of GLEbill.

About GLEbill Subscriptions

GLEbill offers different types of subscriptions of different lengths and payment options.

  • Subscriptions are for a single GLEbill user license, or a bundle subscription for a number of licenses specified by the firm’s Billing Administrator.
  • Subscriptions are for 3,  6 or 12-month time periods, except bundle subscriptions that are only available for annual subscription.
  • Subscriptions are paid as a single payment or in monthly installments.

Subscriptions are considered perpetual and are auto-renewed for the same time-period specified in the original purchase unless otherwise indicated by the Subscriber (for a single-user license) or Billing Administrator (for a bundle purchase).

Single license subscriptions

Single license subscriptions are purchased by an individual subscriber for use by that subscriber.

Bundle Subscriptions

  1. Bundle subscriptions require a Billing Administrator that is also a subscriber.
  2. The Billing Administrator will purchase additional licenses for other GLEbill subscribers in their organization.  For example, to purchase a 4-user subscription, the Billing Administrator would purchase a 4-license bundle, one for the Billing Administrator plus 3 additional GLEbill licenses for other subscribers within the same organization.
  3. Bundle subscriptions are only available as yearly subscriptions.
  4. The Billing Administrator identifies additional subscribers from within their organization who are granted subscription licenses to GLEbill.
  5. Billing Administrators can add or remove additional subscribers at any time.  For example, when an employee that has been granted access to GLEbill by the Billing Administrator leaves the firm, the Billing Administrator can delete that person’s access and add a replacement subscriber whose subscription will end at the same time as other bundle subscribers.
  6. In the event a Bundle Administrator leaves an organization, contact gle@GLEbill.com for assistance.

Subscription Renewals

  1. GLEbill sends notices prior to the end of a subscription to advise of the pending subscription renewal.
  2. If the Subscriber or Bundle Administrator does not want to renew their GLEbill subscription, they must log into GLEbill, go to the Accounts page and select Cancel.
  3. To view or update Credit Card information provided for a subscription, click on the link provided in the Pending Renewal email.
  4. Failure to update expired Credit Card information at the time of renewal will result in the failure to renew a GLEbill subscription, and the GLEbill account will be deactivated.

Refund Terms and Conditions

A GLEbill subscription must be cancelled through the GLEbill User Account that was used to purchase the subscription.

A GLEbill subscription cancellation fee of $8 may apply.

Cancellation Within the Trial Period

Each GLEbill subscription comes with a trial period of a length that depends on the type and length of subscription purchased.  Subscribers have their trial period to review the GLEbill application before payment for the subscription is required.  For example, an annual subscription comes with a 7-day trial period.  GLEbill can be cancelled at any time within the trial period for the subscription type purchased; the subscriber will not be charged for their subscription and access to GLEbill is terminated.

Subscribers dissatisfied with GLEbill may cancel their subscription within the trial period, prior to the beginning of their subscription. The subscriber’s credit card will not be billed and no cancellation fee shall apply. The subscriber’s access to GLEbill is terminated.

Cancellation Within the First 5 days of a New Subscription or a Subscription Renewal

After the trial period ends and the subscription period commences, GLEbill subscriptions may be eligible for a refund, depending on the timing of cancellation, the type of subscription purchased and the country of purchase.

  • All Subscribers to GLEbill are eligible for a refund within 5 business days of the purchase of a GLEbill subscription. “Within 5 business days” means after the trial period has ended and Subscriber’s credit card has been charged, which marks the beginning of the subscription period.  All subscribers have 5 business days from this point to cancel their subscription and receive a prorated refund.
  • All GLEbill subscription cancellations within the first 5 days of the subscription period are charged an $8 cancellation fee.
  • Bundle subscriptions are cancelled in full (i.e., all subscription licenses are cancelled); partial cancellations that reduce the number of subscription licenses purchased are not available.  The $8 cancellation fee applies to Bundle subscriptions.
  • Subscription renewals can similarly be cancelled within 5 business days of renewal.  The GLEbill cancellation fee applies to subscription renewals.

Cancellation After the First 5 days of a New Subscription or a Subscription Renewal

In some countries, GLEbill may offer a prorated refund when an eligible subscription is cancelled beyond the standard 2-week cancellation period, in line with local consumer protection rules. An $8 cancellation fee will be charged.

Special Circumstance: Monthly Subscription Payment Refunds

Subscribers that selected monthly payment, regardless of their location, are eligible to cancel their subscription within the first five days of any month during their subscription period. Only the remaining time within the current subscription month is eligible for prorated reimbursement.  The $8 cancellation fee also applies.

About Prorated Refunds

A prorated refund is a partial refund issued to a customer when they cancel a service or subscription before the end of the billing period. This refund reflects the unused portion of the service that the customer paid for but did not utilize.

How Prorated Refunds Are Calculated:

The calculation of a prorated refund typically involves the following steps:

  1. Determine Total Duration: Identify the total time period of the subscription (e.g., monthly, annually).
  2. Identify Used Time: Calculate how much time has elapsed since payment/subscription start date  before the Subscriber cancelled the subscription.
  3. Calculate Unused Time: Subtract the used time from the total duration to find the remaining time.
  4. Apply the Formula: Use the formula to calculate the refund:

Prorated Refund = (Unused Time / Total Duration) * Total Cost – Cancellation Fee.

Important

  • Refund eligibility is assessed case by case.
  • Cancelling recurring billing does not automatically mean a refund.
  • Access to GLEbill continues until the end of the subscription term if no refund is issued.
